I once had an English teacher who claimed that human history as well as each individual human’s history could be boiled down to a series of unpleasant realizations of truth. I’m not sure I agree with that, but I have at least in this case had the unpleasant realization that I’m not going to be able for right now to have this tumblr be the well-curated thingy that I’d want it to be.

Never fear, though! Instead of deleting fragmentsofasong, this just means that I will get a lot more regular in my tumbling - and a lot more sloppy, too. The vast majority of my posts will wind up being queued, for one thing (to help with regularity, you see), and many of them will read more brain-dumpy than previously. I will post multi-lingually without translation. Tags will be less systematic, and I won’t be able to scroll through all the pages of dash that I would like to, so I will probably and sadly miss a few of y’all’s cool posts.

But if that’s what it takes for me to be able to be back on tumblr, I hope that’s a worthwhile trade-off.

Since I am following you to see you and (and to indirectly pick your brain) rather than for the content of the neat sort of blog you were going for, this works out even better for me. It was a lot of fun! The night before it happened I finally caught up on Homestuck. My date was her usual fun/adorable/awesome self! I ran into TWO friends from MIDDLE SCHOOL, which was years ago, jeez! I liked dancing, our esteemed DJ did not disappoint. And the photographer KDoran was super helpful! Just, a big thank you to everybody who organized the event!

Wow this turned out really cute!

It was a different experience, going with someone - I’m so glad it was with tumblr user puellaprava who is one of the most fun people of ever, who gets everything that matters, who has the best taste in everything I’m not at all biased, who danced *hilariously* (and well - I have footage to prove it), who finished homestuck in the nick of time (SO PROUD OF YOU), who lets me regularly crash with them (and feeds me?!?!), who is kind and thoughtful and firm when needs must, and who, incidentally, is also really hot, like, all the time. It was also fun cosplaying a mutually significant OTP!

You more than made my night - you enrich my whole life. You are one of my best friends, if I still tracked those. You are all my conciliatory quadrants and then some and then in reverse (definitely in reverse). And ilu bb. Good luck with stats!! <3333

He heard something clank as frogbro shuffled behind him, and tensed. Never leave your back open, Dave, I taught you better than that.

He winced. He could almost feel the slap of the flat of Bro’s katana across the back of his thighs. He peeked back over his shoulder.

Sares’s birthday.
Moving! From this house we’ve been in since I was 8 so we have a loooooot of stuff and also I didn’t know this was happening until the day before yesterday. You know what I can see from my new house? My old house. Literally walking distance, but Grandma will be able to stay with us because bedrooms are on the ground floor ~~and someone was talking about throwing up a rig for suspension stuff in our basement but: grandmum. Nope nope nope~~.
Rarewomen. I’m not elaborating on this. Imagine multiple exclamation points with no context [the context is last minute editing panic].
Last day of work! A job of min 3 months —> 6 months —>10 months, but at last, it’s time to move on.
Why can’t I indent these bullets?! This means giving another presentation. About everything I’ve done. To everyone in the group. Oh em effing gee. People whose numbers I have can expect unproductive flipping out texts until all of that is over.
I also need to clean out my whole work bench which will be gross and cathartic.
And organize my notebook and have it signed and turn it in.
And organize my virtual files so people can actually find things without me there.
…This list is stressing me out; I’m moving on to the next one

Things to do next weekend:

PROMSTUCK!!!
Extensive hanging out with P right smack in the middle of finals oops I will be good and not try to sucker her into OFF until after.
Confessing my feelings to B in the most straightforward, least awkward, non-pressure-y manner possible (i think ur cute too let’s never date I like u too much to risk it.)
Buy an electronic friend (with P or B or both or by myself).
Coffee date/”date” with someone not from the internet, oh boy, we’ll see, I still think this person could have been a pick up artist they were way too smooth and collected and direct and not creepy or pushy or anything. Suspicious.
Buy weird things at the dollar store that I won’t specify.

Things I will spend my free time on that are not Life Important (like find a place to live for the next half decade blaaah)

Overseer. My poor pup. IDK if you guys in my session have done anything; I sure haven’t.
GO RUNNING!!!! the weather is nice and I need this.
Figure out what I’m doing for Steampunk World’s Fair and after.
Rewatch Monster. Heck. Yes.
Watch other things. Maybe. New things and old things. Things with female dominated casts for pref.
Play Ib. And Crow. …And… idk, that’s it; I don’t do games.
Cannibalize the library. Dodge writing.
Visit people. Everywhere. But probably not abroad. Definitely not all on the list: Toronto, Maryland, Other Bits of NJ, San Fran, LA, Detroit, Chicago, Boston. It’ll be CA if I can pull it. It might be interesting to see my dad again after however long and I miss my wingwoman something fierce.
Ask my favourite high school english teacher out for coffee ~~and tell her about Homestuck~~. Because I love her.
Relax because what’s coming is going to be painful. Try to be less tsundere about science.
